Hi, I recently installed Windows XP SR2. Since then, once i click on the turn off computer button, it hangs up for 3 minutes minimum then it gives me the options. Is there are a cure for it or is it a possible virus/bug?
it could be a hardware conflictHave you updated all your drivers?
My PC is very old and i cant find driver updates. I never use to have that problem. This is the first time. I ave reinstalled it due to a major problem. My Specs are: 355MHz Pentium 2, 128 RAM, 10GBx2 Quantom Fireball HDD, Ricoh MP7163A CD-R Writer
its the amount of ram in your systemYou need to at least go to 256mbramXPSP2 is memory hungryI assume you here the HDD whiring away before shutting down
Nope, the HDD doesn't. And ive used 128MB RAM on Window XP SP1 and SP2 for over 3 yrs now and it hasnt caused me no grief until now. How can i resolve it without spending money?
