when my pc has been idle long enough for monitor to go in to standby mode, my mouse cursor freezes. anyone experienced this before, if so i would be obliged if you could help me.

if its just your monitor alone that goes into stand by mode it shouldn't be affecting your mouse?

but if you put your pc into standby mode and then when you resume if your mouse freezes then my suggestion would be to increase the size of your virtual memory. i had the same problem and this was the only thing that worked for me.

ps, might help if you posted back your o/s version.
