Frozen Mouse

  bbassoc 13:05 03 Feb 2011

I am on XP on my PC and my mouse has frozen in one position on the screen. I've checked the connections and changed the mouse all to no avail. Both mice work ok on other machines. How can I free this up? Any advice will be much appreciated.

A simple Re-start might sort this.

It is possible that the mouse drivers have become corrupted and running System Restore might resolve the issue. Obviously you need to do this using the keyboard.

Press the "Windows Key + R" to open the Run box, type in...

...and press Enter. The default option will be "Restore my computer to an earlier time". Pressing the Tab key will move around the "clickable" items so, once you have the appropriate one "active", press Enter. Alternatively, a button can be pressed by holding down the Alt key and pressing the "underlined" letter of the button.
