Freezing temporarily on each start-up.

Running windows 98SE on a 433 celeron & over 300MB memory.

Problem Im having on startup is that after the widows screen loads, all the icons appear,
Quick launch toolbar appears , but system freezes for around 90 secs before it kicks into life again & system tray loads.
Anyway I can monitor what the PC is looking for?
It didnt always do this- just recently.
Ive cleared out as much stuff in the start-up menu that I can (or know what they are)
