Since a power cut (PC was turned on at the time) two days ago,My PC freezes regularly, sometimes after a few seconds, 10 mins, half hour, you name it. I have done a couple of restores, but no difference, what should I try next?
I should have added that I have to use the XP cd to start the PC as well at times.
run sfc /scannow and have disk ready if asked for.johnny.
Could you be a bit more specific please. Praps I should have put this query in the absolute beginners forum !
I have just noticed in "manage add-ons", all of the add-ons that I had disabled, have enabled themselves.
What Johnnyrocker means is go to start and click there when your computer is runningClick on run type in run sfc /scannow note the spacings and have your XP cd to hand as it might be asked for by the computer in order to repair your problemI hope that helps -- -- we all started onceBestCharles :)
OK, I've done that, lets hope for a result! Many thanks for your assistance.
