freeware graphics organiser - suggestions?

I am looking for a freeware prog which will allow me to view graphics in thumbnail format - something along the lines of ACDSEEE. For example, the left half the screen with thumbnails and the right half with the selected image enlarged.

It needs not do anything else - I use Photoshop 6 for manipulation and irfanview for quick viewing of images.

Since getting my digital camera I find that I have lots of images and would like to have a quick means of recognising them.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Cheez may be the kind of thing you are looking for.

Many thanks, Foolsbane_1 - it is the kind of prog I was looking for - I knew this site would not let me down. I will keep the thread open for another while for any other suggestions.
