Im wondering can anyone help? I have just purchased a new Packard Bell pc which had Freeserve software on it. I inadvertenly clicked on the demo and now it has hijacked my Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. How do I get rid of it?

I haven't seen this for a long time, and its just possible that Freeserve have had a change of heart and produced some decent software - but I doubt it. Assuming the worst, the only way I ever found was to reinstall the OS - you should have been given some CDs with your new system which enables you to reset the computer to how it was when you first got it.

Once you have reinstalled your software, be safe and delete any shortcuts on your desktop relating to this product - you won't be affecting the software in any way - just removing a pointer to it.

Go to control panel/network connections, right click on the connection you want to use and click set as default connection.
