Free software to make a DVD from .flv Files?

I have just seen some non-copyright videos on youtube, I have now downloaded those videos from a website in the form of an .flv. Now what I want to be able to do with the files, is burn them to a DVD and then be able to watch them on the telly, I have also used the full version of replay converter to convert the files to the best possible format and quality ( avi). However when I try to make a DVD in Nero vision 4 it just says cannot insert file and then it gives the file location.

Can anyone help me here? Either some preferably free software either to make a DVD using .flv files or converted to .avi
