I am considering downloading this software. Any comments by users is welcome. It says that it increases system performance by optimizing your Ram usage. Is that really so ?
Thanks.

From what I've read, if you have XP and sufficient memory (say 512mb or more) you really don't need a third party utility to sort out your RAM usage.

OIC thanks. Is this program like Cacheman ?

I'm currently working on my daughters old Compaq Presario 700 laptop (XP1 updated to SP2 and all available updates since) with 112 ? mb ram. Freeram XP seems to be pretty effective at releasing (freeing) ram on this. It's still pretty slow though.

I've used it for around 12 mths and have no complaints

XP does not need these programs.

It probably uses as much, if not more, RAM than it actually frees up.
