Any idea where i can find some free hard drive partitioning software?

How about a Win 98 boot disc - it's basic, its free and it will do what you want as long as you are aware that you will lose everything on the disc when you partition and format

A few free ones here click here (& scroll down). Don't know how good (or bad) they are as I haven't personally tried any. G

From your other thread ; if you are going to use the partition for backup using Acronis True Image then the Acronis Secure Zone will be ideal. This is a partition, you can control the size and it is completely outside of Windows interferance and is hidden. I also think it would simplify the creation of your backup, but of course it is your choice. You can get Acronis TI version 8 from Amazon for about £16 delivered, price has dropped since version 9 rolled out.

True Image 8 from Amazon is up again unfortunately - £26.99 click here.

Acronis Disk Director Suit 9.0 is available at just under £15 (incl del) from click here. G
