free Norton 2007 upgrade-worth it?

Norton is currently offering a free upgrade from your Norton Internet security 2006 to its 2007 version.

I know of incompatability issues with other applications namely SpybotSD (which Norton 2007 asks you to uninstall)!!

1) Have you updated (2006 to 2007)? Can you confirm these incompatability issues? What other applications are incompatable?
2) Is it/was it worth the free upgrade?
3) What are the major pitfalls/problems did you encounter due to this upgrade?

I'm really only interested in advice regarding those questions.

I want to avoid a base debate/discussion whether Norton is good/bad/ugly/in/superior...etc..
A point you surely appreciate.;-)

(Threads regarding discussions of this sort have been covered extensively elsewhere.)
grouphug ;-)

Ask Jimmy 14, he loves it. Incompatibility issues/ some are a matter of litigation. I am happy with my resource, ZoneAlarm.

I read those threads and Jimmy14's evaluation of Norton. I value that. However,in this thread I'm after first hand experience.

nikef. Mine is a 2 month old desktop which runs smoothly like sand in an hourglass , and I want to keep it this way.
Thats why I'm weary to mess around with (controversial) updates. Good to hear you positive experience, Thanx.

Do you have Windows Defender installed on your system, and if so did you have to do the same routine with it as you did for S/B? I have NAV 2006 along with ZA free and all the other suspects installed. J.B.

J B.I have Spyware Doctor/Win Defender/Ad-aware/SpybotSD/Norton 2006 installed.
That amounts to a pretty formidable defense catalogue.
As yet, I have not upgraded to Norton 2007, so I rally cant tell (as yet. I'm somewhat still two mided about an upgrade.
"If it ain't broke, why fix it"...kind of thing.

Next step is to find out, what are the benefits of such an upgrade, (Apparently an improved firewall is one of it...)
