Can anyone suggest a free music CD player ?
I am restoring/repairing an old PC for a friends daughter and now I have installed a new sound card etc etc , I want to install a CD player for her music CD's.

All I need is a basic player , you know the type that has a screen shot of a virtual HI-FI unit where you can click the play button and the stop button etc.

Windows 98SE.

Thanks in advance people !

Win98 will play CDs with it's built-in media player.

I know it will play the CD's but I just wanted something a little more fancy , if you get my drift , the free win98 one is a bit basic looking , a bit dull.

Thanks for the suggestions however the 2nd link appears to be for 2000/XP and is £40 to buy.

Any more folks ?

C-Media used has a hi-fi style mixer, equalisier, CD player etc for its onboard/PCI sound chipsets.

Don't know how much it's changed, but Audio Rack download is dated 2002...:-)
