i dont know if this has been posted before
my nest door neighbour asked me how the new free laptops work when they havent got a land line in
(im refering to orange broadband)
this "dongler" thingy is it just a usb wireless device if so whos network will they be picking up.
if it is what i think it is is it legal for someone else to use 3rd party network without permission

Dont understand what you mean when you talk about legality. If you get a wireless dongle you sign up for a one year, eighteen months,or two year contract with whichever network you select, once you sign up they will send you a usb dongle. As long as you have a good mobile phone signal, you will be ok,though a lot slower than if you were using normal broadband, and the download limit is only about 3 gigs, you couldent use it for hours day in,day out without incuring extra charges.

You can get a Free Laptop with Free 02 usb mobile modem this is on Contract from TalkTalk expensive to run but you do get the laptop however you may have payed for the laptop by the time the contract runs out
