simon, Thankyou for pre-registering with
freebb.co.uk, for free broadband access to the Internet.
As you know, registering early is one of the factors in
deciding who gets the free broadband access first. There
is one more step that you can complete today, which will
boost your rating with us, and that is to tell your
friends and family about our website.
Visit click here now and we
will allow you credit for each and every friend notified
by you, using our automated facility.
Thank you for registering
its obviously a con of some kind , maybe it isnt , if it isnt then the bit i dont understand is the "allow you credit" part , does that mean that i have to do something for them in order to get free broadband.
even though i've already got broadband it cant hurt to have a bit more :)
grove34 too good to be true.....but just in case -I've also registered; so there could be at least two of us with the proverbial egg on the face!!
ps I've got Mailwasher in case I'm now bombarded with junk mail.
Looks somewhat iffy given that you have to pass on details of 3 friends. Sort of like a chain letter? If kosher all well and good however are BT not the company in charge of the airwaves and do they not levy charges to other companies for rental? If my understanding is correct then can't see how any company can offer 'free' when there are overheads to meet unless it's through heavy advertising i.e spam.
