I'm trying to burn an AVI file to DVD so I can play it on the dvd player.

I've tried a couple of versions from without much success.

Anyone advise a good quality, simple to use free download?

I don't want to create chapters or buttons or anything......

If you do a google and enter 'burn dvd software' into the search box you will find a large selection to chose from.

I personally have not tried any of them as I use Nero 6, unfortunatly as regards burning video etc, to get an acceptable quality you have to pay out.

Windows movie maker will burn video but only to a CD not DVD. There is a program called SOUNDTAP, which will burn a DATA DVD, but whether that will play on a DVD player, I do not know, it is free, so if you have not done so already, try it

Pinnacle 9 is mine. I have made wedding DVDs in good quality with it. It only cost about £30 and well worth it as it will do the whole job from beginning to the end.

The best free one I know of was at, but I'm having trouble pulling connecting with it at the moment. I don't know whether it's me or them. While I figure that out -

These two will make a functional DVD.

I wish I could delete the word "pulling".
