Hi,
I've been thinking about buying a 19 inch TFT monitor but i'm a little worried that it's going to make my games unplayable. Currently i have a 15inch tft and i play most games in 1024x768 with good FPS. If I were to buy one and increase the resolution to 1280x1024 am i likely to make my FPS go down alot? Thanks.
If it's any help my GC is a GeForce 5700 (not great i know!)

You can easily check using your existing monitor,

Download FRAPS click here

Start it and then run your games at 1280x1024 instead of 1024x768.

Fraps will display the frame rate in one corner of your monitor screen.....you can also set it to record a game session so you can see the overall frame rate included the maximum and, most importantly minimum that you get.

Don't forget you can run the tft monitor at lower than its native resolution......it just wont be as clear a picture.

If you play a lot of games it would be better to get a decent graphics card first and a new monitor later.
