hello good guys,
How do i format my c drive in windows?I want to re-install my OS and i was told the better option is to manually format in windows,(command prompt thing)before i install the OS?
I know of using OS cd to format and re-install,But since i was told the other way i want to know if is safe and how to do it.
Thank you very much.

Unless your copy of Windows is installed on a partition other than "C" then you cant format from within Windows as its the system drive. I would just reformat from the install disk.

Zeppelyn is right. The Command Prompt is still part of Windows so you can't format the system drive even from there. Boot from your Windows XP CD and you'll find the option to format as part of the installation.
