Your DVD writer should come with a programme that enables use of DVD RW.

The prog detects when a DVD RW is inserted.

This usually resides as an icon on the bar bottom right of your screen.

If it is similar to mine, when you right click on the icon it will give you a format opportunity.

This same programme is also the one that mounts and dismounts the DVD RW.

Am not familiar with Magic Movies.

Right click your drive when you have a disk in and click format.

Thanks for the replies but problem not resolved. I bought my DVD recorder "OEM" & it did not include any software.I can burn DVD's with the only DVD program I have(Magix Movies on CD & DVD)but have nothing to format DVD-RW disks so I can use them again.

Download Nero and do it with that. Cos it is DVD+RW it only takes about 30 seconds.

Thanks to The Sack & will get Nero.

rabadubdub, I have DVD-RW (minus RW) so I assume Nero Re-formats -RW & +RW.

Thanks to crx1600 for the info.Thats a good price.I don't want to buy high price program as I already have a burn program thats OK except it has no erase or re-format feature.

Many thanks for all the replies. Daycoo.
