Font does not display on Laptop

I have a Piczo site click here When I view it on my laptop, the fonts all appear as 'plain', although I use a lot of Monotype Corsiva. If this is a problem with the laptop, is there a site I can go to to test?

you do have monotype corsiva on your laptop? If you don't then presumably your laptop is picking up the alternative fall-back font. I can't view the source of your site; it just comes up as a blank page in notepad.

Thanks, no, I only have Monotype Sorts. Where could I download it, please?

you have to pay for it though; why not just use a font that you and everyone already have/has?

I didn't think it would be a problem. I thought a website displayed like a picture.

Downloaded from click here. Now all OK.

No -fonts only display if you have them on your computer. That's why you should offer alternatives in case people don't have the ones you put first. Unless you make an image of the font, which isn't good practice I believe.

Can you suggest a similar font that most computers should have?

Thanks for that. I will make some changes.
