I keep getting message "insert disk into drive A" even when a disk is in it. I have tried uninstalling floppy drives and letting Windows reinstall them without success. Any suggestions gratefully recived. Bucksboy
Hi Bucksboy. If you're sure the floppy disk is a good one and have checked the floppy drive ribbon cable is ok and correctly plugged in both ends, the probability is that the drive itself has failed. This isn't uncommon, and as a new one is available for under £5 click here, this could be the easiest thing to try first.
