Floopy disc working in DOS only.

Help please: My screen says my flooply diasc drive 'A'is working in DOS & IS 5.1/2" INSTEAD OF 3/1/2".#
How do I get drive 'A'back to normal WINDOWS working & how do I alter it back to 3.1/2".
The operating system is WINDOWS 98 version 2 upgraded to WINDOWS XP.

Have you checked in the BIOS to make sure it is set correctly there?

First would be to try Technotiger.

If that is no go, the check the bios.

Start the machine and keep tapping the delete key.

Look under standard cmos settings, first page, to floppy disk A. Make sure it is set to 1.44Mb. If it is set to another, change it by using the PgUp or PgDn key. make sure you save and exit from the bios. Usually the F10 key.
