when i try to access the stick (f:) i get a pop up with the message please insert a disk into f:.
Need a bit more information first please. What version of Windows are you using? Is this a first time fault, or has it suddenly happened when previously all was well?
windows xp home edition.was working but has this problem since yesterday.latop does detect the stick and says This device is working properly.
Look in device manager > USB controllers etc (at the bottom of the list)If there is a yellow warning triangle this may give a clue in its properties. If not.....Uninstall every item and reboot!I know it sounds drastic, but Windows will automatically restore all the controllers on rebooting, and this time without the corruption that has crept in somehow.
