Flash Drives

Has anybody got information about the life of information put on a Flash Drive, please?

As far as I have seen they can take a lot of physical punishment before the data becomes unreadable. However as far as long term integrity of a flash drive left in draw for ten years I don't know. I think this is because they are a fairly new product so we are the guinea pigs testing there longlevity. Just as you can't age scotch or fine wine other than by the passage of time, the evaluation of the long term survival of data on a flash drive will take time.
