First upgrade "ram"

I have just completed my first try at upgrading my computer. I thought the simplest would be adding ram, after all it is just a matter of plugging it in. When I opened the case I found the memory slots were blocked by various objects. I had to remove the hard disc compartment, graphics card and unplug several cables to gain clear access to the slots. I installed the ram, put everything back together, and switched the computer on. There was great relief when I heard the single beep and windows loaded. My next computer will have a full tower case.

The first time delving into the pc is always the most unnerving.
