firewall on aol provided speedtouch576

i want to configure the in-built firewall on the speedtouch 576 that i have recieved as part of aol's platinum broadband package so that i am able to file share.i am unable to use the ip address that is given(http;// i get message "http 500 internal server error" i am unable to allow the file sharing with this router that i was with the previous one could anyone help me with this problem and tell me what i am doing wrong.i am on a desktop pc and not a wireless laptop.

Try just typing in (that doesn't look like a valid IP address anyway)

and pressing Enter.

ahve tried the ip address (typing error when posting) i tried no joy what so ever.i'm running on win xp is there any way to manually access said router config

have you checked that you router has that address go to start/run type cmd in popup box type ipconfig /all
and check your DHCP Server and DNS Server readings these should read
