Why is it that every time i boot up my pc, a icon pops up informing me that 'my computer is at risk as no firewall is turned on' even though i have in fact turned on the firewall option??

Which OS are you using, and is it Windows Firewall internal that you have selected

get sygate personal firewall its a good one and free and it does its job get it from click here. if you have windows built in firewall on its ok but its better to have a stand alone one morprotection like.if you install another one dont forget to turn of the windows one
