Firefox display change

  chriscross72 13:21 14 Aug 2007

I've just opened mozilla firefox and a large grey bar has appeared at the bottom of the display. this area is about 50mm high and cuts down the web page viewing area considerably. I cannot seem to get rid of it as there is no response when I click in any of it. There is what appears to be a small red upturned arrow in the left hand corner, but nothing else.
Any ideas on what this is and how to change it back or get rid of it please
Thank you ; ))

I would un-install Firefox (Control Panel>Add/Remove) and then re-download and install afresh.

Ok, thanks Technotiger
What's the best way to save all of my bookmark folders so that I can import them all into a fresh reinstall of Firefox ?

Thanks for your help all
I uninstalled firefox and deleted the mozilla firefox folder from C drive programme files.
Downloaded and reinstalled firefox, opened it and the large grey bar had gone and all my bookmarks were still present
Problem sorted
Thanks again !!
