Google Toolbar can sometimes conflict and MAY be your problem - if installed try disabling it - it is in your list of Add-Ons.

Thanks, as I said, the options are already ticked.
I had FF 3.6.something, but accidently re-installed 3.5.7 after a spring clean of my PC.It still has not updated to 3.6 even though Auto Update is on.I just did it manually and it says 3.5.9 available.Anyway, mozilla.org has the latest. Try uninstalling and re-installing with latest 3.6.whatever(Download and run Mozbackup first. It saves all your Bookmarks/Addons etc. Piece of cake to use)
