Firefox address bar

  chriscross72 21:21 10 Feb 2009

when I click on the address bar on Mozilla firefox a list of web addresses with small gold coloured stars appears
These are also in my favorites folder so I don't really need them here also
I've tried to clear this list as it is somewhat annoying but I cannot seen to figure out how to do it.
I have tried tools, options, privacy etc.
Could anyone tell me how to go about removing these addresses
I'm using version I believe.
Thanks for any help : ))

Type about:config in the address bar and enter. Scroll down to browser.urlbar.maxRichResults and double click - set the value to -1 click OK.

Restart Firefox and you will have no drop down URLs.

(You will get a warning when you enter about:config but click OK and be careful what you're doing)

Thanks for your help gents.
I've done as suggested and the drop downs have gone
Seems this is a bit of a bug in latest version of Firefox
Thanks again : ))
