I'm getting an alert about 184.108.40.206 version that it may cause instability and has been blocked. Anything known, please?
I had the same message earlier - I just re-started Firefox. Quite a few entries in Google on the subject too.Everything is still working fine.
I updated my Java Platform to the latest version, 1.6.0_20, and it updated the Java Deployment Tool to the latest version,220.127.116.11, which doesn't appear to have upset Firefox - yet!I cannot, however, remove the old version of the deployment tool.
I blocked it at the FF warning I got yesterday and have left it like that. Not sure what it does anyway. Must google it.
It's just come up again.
It should disable the java deployment toolkit in addons/plugins after firefox blocked it. I just uninstalled java 18.104.22.168 and then installed java 22.214.171.124 from the java website, and the disabled toolkit was replaced with the latest version.
I`m getting a bit confused now.I`ve just been advised JDT 126.96.36.199 is a security risk and needs to be disabled. This says Java Deployment Toolkit (plugin) 188.8.131.52 and older should be disabled: click hereste76 says he has installed Java 184.108.40.206 but that`s `Next Generation Java Plug-in isn`t it, not the Deployment Toolkit? And mine says 1.6.0_19 and still running.Does anyone know what`s going on here?
dunno, but after i uninstalled java 220.127.116.11 in add/remove and installed 18.104.22.168, the deployment toolkit changed to 22.214.171.124
