Decided to take the plunge and give Firefox a go,though I am more than happy with IE 6.

Immediatly I have noticed that pages take longer to load.Switching pages on this site for instance is slower than with IE.

So folks looking for tips/tricks and any addons that might be useful.
Is there a spellcheck for instance?

To speed up Firefox's and Mozilla's page loading you can adjust a couple of settings. Type about:config in the address bar and hit enter. Modify the following values:
network.http.max-connections-per-server - set it to 16
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy - set it to 8
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server - set it to 8
network.http.pipelining - set it to true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests - set it to 8
network.http.proxy.pipelining - set it to true
Restart the browser and you should notice the difference.

I also use Finetune Firefox - saves all the manual configuring and takes about five seconds to complete. I repeat it for each new FF version insrtallation.

From FF's Tools>Options>Advanced tab>General tab you can Enable Check My Spelling As I Type.

Ensure that UK English is the selected language.

Hi all, how do I get rid of the spellcheck in Windows Live Mail. I keep finishing up with a page of red underlined words. I just want to write a normal Email using words that are sometimes NOT in dictionaries.
