Hi, I am considering installing Firefox as an alternative to IE but have a few questions being not very techie!

Can I have both Firefox and IE installed and switch between the two?

Should I carry out any special actions prior to intalling Firefox?

What's the latest version of Firefox?

Any answers and advice much appreciated!

Yes, you can use both and switch between the two; the latest version of Firefox is 2.0 and, if you install it, you can import your IE settings either during or after the installation.

I think you will prefer Firefox in the long run...:-)

Plenty of help in the Firefox FAQ on the Mozilla website if needed.

You can run both. You'll get asked which is to be your default browser, but in my opinion FF is far better than IE, so to for Thunderbird.
I got rid of IE7 as it was causing probs.
I'm sure FF is on the last cd from PCA.

The best place to download the latest version is from:

You can change to UK English once installed.
