Have you enabled all the File Types from Tools>Options>File Types?

If so and you are still missing codecs, try the K-Lite Standard pack from:

This should cover most requirements once installed.

Fruit Bat /\0/\: I just downloaded this file Coec Finder 5.1 and have been warned twice of a miliceous script detected. Is this safe to install or should it be avoided.

Run an AV scan on the file, otherwise delete it.

The K-lite codec pack should provide all that you are likely to require now or in the immediate future.
