Find modified files for back-up

I intend backing up all the files on my laptop that have been modified within the last month every month-end. Is there a simple way to identify them?

How are you planning on backing them up - with some kind of manual file copy or script/batch file or using some software?

If you are doing it manually if you use the search option in windows explorer you can specify files modified within a time period.

I'd say you'd be better off finding some backup software and doing a full, and then incremental backups each month thereafter.

Backing up manually to a data stick and then transferring to my old laptop as backup.

I am using Vista and was really wondering how to search for a date range in windows explorer on all files in my account.

How about this:

Start up explorer.
Right click on C: Drive (I'm assuming you only have one drive)
Choose Search
Click the "Advanced Search" arrow towards the top right
You can then choose "Date Modified" from the date drop down.
"Is After" from he next drop down
"31/10/2007" or whatever you want the 'after' date to be ?

That's what I wanted to know - thanks.
