Hi, I have a hard drive with 30 Gb free space. If I filled this up with recorded music, how many tracks would I have on disc? Cheers, Bill

Depending on the size of the songs I would say between 800-1000

Hi billyliv!

My HDD shows 1970 tracks occupying 28.7GB; these are stored in wma Lossless format which is not the most economical on space, but gives a variable bit rate ensuring high quality.

Hope this helps, Toxin.

I've got 450 CDs on mine encoded at 256+ kbs and they take up about 40gb.

981 files 3.95GB. As mentioned above it depends on the bitrate and length of the track.

Hi, Thanks all, When I have filled it I will let you know how many tracks there are. (Might take a day or two though) Cheers, Bill
