File sharing probs through router can anyonehelp?

PC1: ethernet to (sky) wireless router
Laptop: wireless to same router
Both connecting to b/band fine, both XP.

Before I installed the router, I was sharing files via a cross-over which worked fine (used ZA with both and config has not changed for this). Since I have installed the router, I cannot find a way to share files.

I'm wondering if the router has over-ridden the settings I had originally for the LAN for itself. I have since ran and re-ran the network wiz, ran the wireless wiz and enabled file sharing on both. Have I confused XP with all this, I just don't know....

Any suggestions? I've searched but couldn't find a thread with my exact situation so apologies if duplicated.

Meant to add, both appear in Workgroup Computers on each machine, but cannot access due to 'no network path found'.

Since you changed to using a router, the Subnet (IP address range) your network operates in may be different from that used previously and which was configured in Zone Alarm's "Trusted Zone". This would cause your LAN traffic to be blocked now by Z.A.

Oh yeah *slaps forehead with wet fish*. Will try and tick resolved if it solves the problem.
