Has anybody any ideas how to take sharp xmas photo's of tree lights etc at night.Without all coloured lights bleeding into just blobs of colour
any help would be most welcome.
I have a fuji mx1200 which I know is not the worlds most expensive camera but its has provided me with some good pictures (acceptable to me anyway)I might add that I have never bothered before to take these types of pictures before I became disabled. so this is my first attempt to do so

Your best bet is to use a Tripod and the delayed shutter option (if your camera has this). Becasue it is dark, the shutter speed is slow and any shake of the hand will be magnified.
