Did you format and install on the original partition?

  carol_s 22:27 15 Jul 2009

Yeah i think so, but i think i may have deleted a split part of the drive by mistake. Can i get this back?

Right click computer > manage > disk management

Hi cream i have
Disk 0 74.53 GB of which 24.15 is NTFS and 50.38 unallocated. Is this my missing bit?

  cream. 22:42 15 Jul 2009

This is a partition. Do you want to merge it to C or keep it as a partition to store pictures, music and data?

  carol_s 22:43 15 Jul 2009

I want to merge it please

  cream. 22:48 15 Jul 2009

right click the 24.15Gb section of the disk0 and select expand. See if it will take the unallocated space from the rest of the disk.

If it does not work, you might have to enable the unallocated section and shrink the volume before you can expand it to C.

If that is unclear post back, cos I ain't 2 sure myself;-))

  carol_s 22:52 15 Jul 2009

i cant enable the unallocated space, it does not give me that option. But the other NTFS aprt will allow me to shrink volume.

  cream. 22:59 15 Jul 2009

do you get when you right click the C drive i.e 24.15Gb

Also what options do you get when you right click the unallocated space. You should get something like enable new partition or something.
