how do I set up my PC to sen Faxes?

an "Old Fashioned" Dial-up Modem?

What is your OS and how do you access the Internet?

I have XP home and Sky Broard band.

I do have a dial up modem I can fit.

Computer faxing is more trouble than it's worth. If you regularly send faxes, get a fax machine to do it. If you have only an occasional one to send, use a fax bureau or newsagent or similar. There are lots of small companies around from where you can send fax messages.

what are the problems

  Totally-braindead 23:48 05 Apr 2008

The main problem is that you cannot do it on broadband you need either to use dial up or use one of the companies that allow you to send the message to them to convert to fax and subsequently send.

I'm afraid I can't comment on these companies and the costs as I've never needed to use them as I don't send faxes. You could use dial up I suppose.
