fax problem

I tried to fax a document for the first time today but the computer did not seem to be able to find my broadband connection and I had to use the computer's internal 56k modem. How can I get it to use the broadband?

I may be mistaken but I thought you couldn't use BB for fax, so need the normal dialup connection as well.

lozparry is correct. You cannot send faxes via BB. I am on BB but still have a dialup modem for fax use only. As a safeguard my modem is disconnected from the telephone line when not in use, to stop hackers from using it to dial out on premium rate numbers.

It is only used to send faxes. For incoming faxes I use Trinite click here

It costs me £23 per year and I get an exclusive 0870 number. This means I can receive faxes without having to have my computer switched on all the time. All incoming faxes come into my email inbox.
