Faulty laptop power button...

  TomDut 20:49 27 Mar 2008

I've got a faulty power button on my laptop. The make of the laptop is Acer and the model is the 'Travelmate 4000WLMi'.

I have had this laptop for around three years now and lately the power-button appears to be seriously faulty during some uses.

Sometimes the laptop will come on instantly with one press of the button, sometimes it will take quite a few presses; other times it just wont come on.

Has anybody got any advice on what this could simply be and how much I should look to pay for a repair for this, or even a good repair company who offers good deals?

I don't want to pay too much, however, due to the fact that when I do get enough money I am looking into buying a completely new laptop.

Replies will be much appreciated - if any more information is required just e-mail me at [email protected]
