Fatal Programme

  Mork 15:48 28 Jan 2006

I received a notice from my firewall saying that I have a potentially harmful programme PsKill/status infected embedded object also/status infected archive. It then say's Selected object is located inside the archive and cannot be healed. Is there any way in which I can fix this problem mannually, if so please advise.

Firewalls don't usually report harmful programs, that's the job of antivirus software. However, the report is probably telling you that PsKill can't be deleted or healed because it is in a restore archive. Try turning off System Restore and then see if the infection can be repaired. Because turning off System Restore will remove your restore points, a backup beforehand might be a good idea.
