After deleting a file from your PC how do you remove its entry from the FAT32 area?

Not to sure what your trying to do here. When you delete a file all you do is remove the FAT reference for that file, the file is still on the HD, and can be recovered. If for some reason you want to remove this file you could try to overwrite it, there are some recovery programs, ie PC sentry, which is freeware, which can do this.

You need something like Norton WipeInfo part of the Utilities Suit

or iolo System Mechanic Secure Delete.

Thanks - I was led to believe that deleting a file left it on the HD but also left an entry in the FAT. I appreciate that some erasers will overwrite the deleted file but it is the enrty in the FAT that I want to permanently remove (or overwrite). I do not want any mention of this file anywhere.
