Fat32 to NTFS

I have an external HDD and i've just noticed that it is Fat32 file system , my other two internal drives are both NTFS .I've already transfered some files over to the external drive for backup , can i convert the external drive to NTFS to keep eveything the same and how do i go about this task .

It mentions go to the "command prompt" how do i that ?

A: Standard Windows utility that is called CONVERT serves this purpose

Just go to the Command Prompt and execute the command:

C:\> CONVERT C: /fs:ntfs

Where C: is a name of the drive you want to convert.

After machine re-boot conversion process will start and you'll have your FAT32 converted to NTFS without data loss.

Click on `Start` then `Run` and enter the command (C:\> CONVERT C: /fs:ntfs) in the space and click `OK`.

sorry guys , it's not working , i'm just getting a window saying "cannot find G:\CONVERT "

Put back the files you have already transfered and format the drive that will give you the option to use NTFS as your file system...
