I am after a SATA Hard drive that is higher than 7200rpm. It seems that for the increase in size of drive we have to putup with a reduction in rpm. Where can I get one bigger than 60gig ??

Please help me

Yes thanks

I went to ebuyer and they only had a few drives at above 72000 and the were low capacity and very expensive. Is this the compromise on size --Speed ?

Thanks for your help Santos7. only afew years ago 10,000 hdd's were easy to find but now it seems that people are happy to swap speed for size.

I think that Size at 10,000rpm is a mechanical problem, they may self destruct at that speed. As it as to be more finely balanced with 10,000rpm. Hence the price

I would be interested to know how much diference there really is between 7,500 and 10,000 rpm (and i know its 2,500) LOL, regarding performance with respect to having your PC optomised,faster/more memory, faster CPU, taking those things into account
you could have a LOt of drive space for not a lot of money...
