Fast alternative to Broadband

Please can any one help.
I can't get Broadband in my area, confirmed with AOL and BT. What is a faster alternative to 56k modem. I am a novice at this stuff thanks.

I have Sky digital. Had a problem getting cable to this house cause of previous Tennants credit at this address, and bad customer sale people with cable- sloppy and slow.

Home Highway from BT will give you 2 64k ISDN channels which would give 128k. You get 2 analogue lines as well, but you can only use 2 items at once. Your distance from the exchange is a factor.

Unless you can resolve the cable thing your only other option would be ISDN, which really isn't worth the money.

You'd be better off waiting for your exchange to become ADSL enabled which unfortunately may take a while.
