Don't know much about Radeon graphic cards but ran "Far Cry" myself using Nvidea Geforce 4 4200 TI, AMD XP 2400, 512 DDR etc. Screen resolution 1280 x 1024 on a 17" TFT no problems at all. No expert here BUT seems graphic related problem to me. Are your graphic card drivers up to date ? Have you checked the game website to see if there is a patch available ? Keep trying, this is a great game. regards.

Anyone had any problems with far cry. When I finish level 14 the game tries to load the next level ( catacoombs ). As the load bar moves across the bottom of the screen, the game just crashes back to my desktop. I have tried to download the latest patch from ubisoft but when I open the patch on my desktop I receive an error message.

I have an FX55 processor, 1gig RAM, 300gig hard drive and NVidia GForce FX6800GT graphics card.

Is there any way I can manually load the next levels to bypass the crash.

Try downloading the patch for the game and see if that helps.
