Fan the right way round?

I recently installed a new HDD and saw that the fan on the side of the system unit was caked in dust. I removed the fan and gave it a good clean. Unfortunately I cannot remember which way round the fan went back into the system (ie, does the air blow out of the side of the system case or suck air into the system?).

if its on the left side of the case i would set it to blow inwards as this should help keep the pci and graphics cards cool. there should be a little arrow on the fan showing the direction of airflow. if there is no marking on the fan locate the side with the sticker on it and place it facing in to blow inwards.

ps. other fans.

set front fans to suck in and rear fans to blow out.

huggyg71, thanks for the info. Luckily I seemed to have put it the right way round as you've described.
