Fan problem on Windows 7/Bootcamp

  gav223 13:25 10 Mar 2014

I have installed Win 7 on my Macbook through Bootcamp and the fans are constantly runnung, even when I am not doing anything.

I have installed Speedfan and the Temp are as follows.

GPU 41C Local Temp 39C Remote Temp 43C HD0 30C Core0 41C Core1 47C

There are green ticks next to them, which I'm assuming means that it is not running to hot, but the fans don't shut off.

How can I stop this.

With the little info that you supplied try this : Disabled the cpu turbo mode in Windows 7

Control panel -> Power Options -> change active plan settings -> change advanced power settings -> processor power management then you can check the settings:- 1) Min processor state should be 0% for "on battery" and "plugged in" 2) Max processor state should be 100% for "on battery" and "plugged in" 3) System cooling policy should be passive for "on battery" and active for "plugged in"
