how do i reinstall failed updates
windows vista home
i have lots of them ???
also why did they fail ?

If they fail you should get an error message with a code number, what is it.

Give this a go,
then after rebooting open Windows Update and click <check for updates>

If that works, I would then do the following,
from a command prompt,
Type CMD.EXE into the start/run box and right click CMD.EXE and run as admin. Type exactly
sfc /SCANNOW and press enter. That should fix any corrupt files.

Now this worked before but cannot remember how it was done .I think you have to re-register the dll,s

Try to re-register the following dll's individually. See How to Register / Unregister dll's if you are not sure how to do it.

Check the update list befor trying to reinstall any failed update. You may have two listings one saying failed but latter saying successful.

Hi thanks for replys i think its dlls thats the problem

You have to enter them in Command prompt one at a time. And press enter after each selection.
Either type cmd into run.or you will find it under accessories.
Now I have not tried it before maybe better waiting for someone to explain it to you better.
